Yes, they should only communicate in whatever language is spoken at home. Of course, you have to KNOW what language is spoken at home and then you could just do machine translation. The note did not say which language needed an interpreter, merely that one was needed. How was the NHS to know it should be Romanian.
PS: A delay of one day did not make any difference; the child would have died anyway.
