April 23 (UPI) -- Nearly 70% of adults with COVID-19 who don't require hospital care visit a healthcare provider at least once between one and six months after diagnosis due to lingering symptoms of the virus, according to data released Friday by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  This includes 88% of those age 65 and older, with these older adults requiring care from primary care doctors and specialists up to seven times, on average, during the first six months after testing positive for the virus, the agency said.

We’re local, we know what we’re doing with decades of experience, and we bid a very competitive price."
     Tories said (as a matter of policy) that those were certainly not reasons to award contracts.

Minnesota Deploys National Guard Ahead Of Next Week’s Police Shooting
ST. PAUL—Activating nearly 3,000 personnel, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz deployed the National Guard to Minneapolis Friday ahead of next week’s police shooting. “We understand that tempers are flared right now, and we urge you to remain calm and demonstrate lawfully following next Wednesday’s tragedy,” said Walz, who explained that local officials would be imposing curfews throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area within the next two weeks in response to the impending officer-involved shooting. “We have reason to believe the next shooting of an unarmed resident will be exceptionally egregious, so we’re giving the National Guard a bit of a head start. Know that I will share the same sentiment as the many of you who will pour into the streets in only a few days’ time, but peaceful protesting will be the answer.” At press time, Walz added that he was prepared to deploy another 1,000 troops to stem protests that would arise in response to the massive bloodshed resulting from police clashes with the original group of protesters.

Fake news. Pre-Trump, most folks thought of fake news as media sources that trafficked in lies, conspiracy theories and other disinformation. Mr. Trump changed the definition to mean the reporting of any information he didn’t like.  Republicans like this definition.
Terrorism. The Trump administration downplayed or ignored the threat of domestic extremists
Political speech. The Senate Republican leader, Mitch McConnell, just  advised companies to stay out of politics. Mr. McConnell stressed, however, that he was “not talking about political contributions.”  Campaign cash qualifies as a Republican-approved form of political speech. Actual speech, not so much.

     This is not about children, it is about parents in denial.   Note: mom didn't say she was concerned that the child was at second grade reading level - she just didn't want to be told that because of the work that SHE did.  That's why she was, and I quote, "offended".

Today’s GOP talking point was that the voter laws in Colorado are just as restrictive as Georgia , but that is not true:
    Colorado has same day voter registration which Georgia doesn’t have.
    Colorado has drop boxes everywhere which Georgia is trying to restrict.
    Colorado has 100% mail in voting and has for the past seven years
    And Colorado has next to no lines to vote ,unlike Georgia

UK told it will get zero AstraZeneca jabs  if firm does not meet commitments
