Republicans Take Up Trump’s Fight, Leaving Policymaking Behind
The former president’s instincts for red-meat political fights over governing and policymaking have left party leaders in a state of confusion over what they stand for.

Research shows many young children have fallen behind in reading and math. But some educators are worried about stigmatizing an entire generation.
Of course it hurts children to test them at any time, because we don't need to know if they are progressing. If they don't progress, it doesn't matter to anyone but a teacher who wants the best for the child.
As a mother said to a teacher: “That was very offensive to me,” she said. “I’m not putting in myself, my hard work, his hard work, for you to tell me that he’s at second-grade reading.”
This is not about children, it is about parents in denial. Note: mom didn't say she was concerned that the child was at second grade reading level - she just didn't want to be told that because of the work that SHE did. That's why she was, and I quote, "offended".
