Why you should care about a reformed House of Lords
Dr Jess Garland also prefers someone who owes someone a political favour, regardless of whether they know anything about anything. The only way I would agree with Starmer is if the House of Lords was chosen strictly at random.
Labour doesn't like people who know something, they prefer people who owe someone a political favour.
