"Professor Bergelson said she was never told about her students’ objections, learning of them only after the petition surfaced April 6, five months later. Within days, she said, she convened a meeting with the criminal law class... to discuss the incident and to offer an apology. The student...also apologized during the meeting. ...the delay contributed to student frustration and was cited in the petition. But that has done little to quell the tension."
Because once the slur was uttered, even in an academic discussion about the case where it figured, there is NO apology that will ever be accepted. The N-word cannot be used by anybody, anytime. anywhere ... except, of course, for rap singers ...and they only get excused because they are cool.
They don't recognize it because it is no longer conservative: it is now just a cult of personality.
Ho Hum. Why do you people give him so much coverage?
