The shrinking of the American mind involves a kind of numbness. It has become difficult to think or see beyond the noise emanating from the White House" and the Democrat and Republican campaigns.
Journalists are now just reactionary. They don't go out to get stories, they wait for the politicians to tell them what is important, then do a let's-you-and-him-fight story on that.

PS: What is wrong with changing accents; actors do it all the time. One for your family, one for your mates and one for the simple gits who think their accent is posh.
