The limits of reason: Philip Pullman on why we believe in magic
The world of magic defies rational explanation, but beware dismissing it as nonsense. 
Like religious experience and poetry, it is a crucial aspect of being human.
This article doesn't make sense.  Magic and religious experience are the same thing.  The reason we believe in them is because we don't know and it is easier to ascribe it to god or magic than to find out.

The UK’s parks are precious. They need protection from organised fun
No dogs, children, running, skating or stick and ball sports: this is your park, do enjoy it.
