Whilst I sympathise with couples who are sterile, I do not see why the taxpayer should have to pay for them. I would be willing to see the NHS help them through an adoption process - but if couples want IVF, they should pay their own way.

(You are also at least 3 times more likely to be killed by your own doctor than by an American gun owner, but let's not go there.)

God, I hope so - but I doubt it. The stories of sadism and betrayal (Eden, Job, Abraham, Lot, Elisha, etc.) are just too addictive.
