- It is tough, with both journalists and the opposition trying their best to give every story the worst spin they can invent. For any administration, it would be foolish to show up to this gun fight armed with only that pitiful pen-knife called "the truth."

Oh, well, then kill it and sell it, before it does any more good.
- It is true, sadly. Germanic and Francophone Americans are woefully under-represented among the tenants, not to mention how few Pacific Islanders have ever been allowed to buy.
- Of course they are up in arms: most are being sold to charities and we all know that charities are much harder touch when it come to wasting money than government departments are.
- Sorry, Oliver, we do not want the truth. we want our preconceptions confirmed. If an inquiry will not confirm them, it is a whitewash - and we should commission another one, and another one, until we get one that decides to tell us what we want to hear.

Problem is, the world expects America to be able to DO something.
