Well, they could also campaign to have motorcycles called sports-cars. I mean why discriminate against one form of two-person transportation by calling it by a different name.
This 'marriage' campaign could be seen as a group that lacks the ability to create it's own institutions trying to co-opt those of another group. Perhaps instructive is the different way in which blacks and hispanics take on American culture and discrimination.
