Shirley Sherrod Confesses Her Racism to NAACP
The author KNOWS that she went on to say the incident taught her that her attitude was wrong - it wasn't about colour it was about poverty and, as white small-farmers were in just as bad shape as black ones, that she owed him as much help as any other.. In other words, the point of her story is that this incident made her become less racist not more.
