US launches criminal and civil inquiry into BP spill
Oh Dear, criminal inquiry: how stupid. And I thought the blame-game witch-hunt would wait until the problem was fixed. Looks like we can't hold out any longer. These investigations will not speed up a solution (in fact they will slow things down, by being a distraction if for no other reason) nor will they prevent a recurrence. But they will satisfy our thirst for revenge.
I suppose this will help us understand the stupidity of Israelis attack on the Flotilla or the stupidity the Hamas rocket attacks on Israeli civilians: counter-productive, but revenge is sometimes so attractive that it cannot be foregone, regardless of the cost.
