Only One House Republican Represents the Borderland, and He Opposes a Wall
See, there are sensible republicans, who know whereof they speak
      He added, “A wall from sea to shining sea is the most expensive and least effective way to do border security.”
     "I have a unique perspective because I have so much border, because I have an entire career dealing with these issues. That is more important than any kind of political calculation.”
       He would dispense with the concrete wall or steel slats that Mr. Trump has advocated in raucous rallies, in favor of more advanced measures, including “a fiber optic cable from sea to shining sea.”

President Donald Trump on Saturday boasted to reporters about how well San Antonio’s border wall is working. But the Texas city is 150 miles from the Mexican border and has no wall.
      “Everybody knows that walls work. You look at different places, they put up a wall, no problem,” Trump said outside the White House. “You look at San Antonio, you look at so many different places, they go from one of the most unsafe cities in the country to one of the safest cities, immediately, immediately.”

What happened since then?   Donnie Trump said he wants it, and the Republicans are all afraid of Donnie Trump.  Oh, and the Democrats are against it.    That’s all.
